Hamilton Families | Transitional Housing, located North of the Panhandle, provides temporary housing and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness.

Our transitional housing programs address the root causes of homelessness and poverty to assist them in developing and strengthening skills to acquire and maintain permanent housing. Transitional Housing supports families around housing placement while also addressing barriers such as mental health, substance use recovery, domestic violence, immigration, life skills building, employment and education, financial literacy, and parenting in order to ensure long-term success and stability.

Transitional Housing offers private living accommodations and comprehensive support services for 20 families for up to 12 months.

Last year (FY22-23), Hamilton Families | Transitional Housing served

31 families

What does it mean when a family stabilizes and thrives? Stability means hitting and maintaining a baseline for survival, but when a family thrives, it means they’re able to set goals beyond survival. Everything beyond baseline housing, baseline income, baseline health... everything beyond baseline is thriving.
— Joscelyn Meador, Director of Hamilton Families | Transitional Housing
