At Hamilton Families, we believe that regular people who care deeply enough can spark real change in ending family homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With over 1,000 service opportunities a year, our volunteers see the needs of their communities and take action. They mentor students, serve meals, clean up our shelter, play with children, and perform dozens of other selfless acts; and they do this all in their spare time.
Whether you are looking for a one-time project or weekly opportunities, you have come to the right place. Email us at volunteer@hamiltonfamilies.org if you have any questions!

InTerEsted in working with kids?
Did you know that last year, we served over 100 students K-8 at our Shelter and Transitional Housing programs? Our Children and Youth Services program supports the wellbeing and academic achievement of children who experience homelessness. We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about youth development and can commit a minimum of one hour weekly for three to six months. Children and Youth Services volunteers support students with after-school tutoring and enrichment activities including art, sports, technology, music, and more. Interested in volunteering?
