Thank you for joining us in support of these incredible families by becoming a Sponsor. Your sponsorship benefits children and families across the San Francisco Bay Area and speaks volumes about your commitment to toward ending family homelessness in our communities.
Did you know $100,000 can provide permanent housing and two years of guaranteed basic income to a family?
Did you know $50,000 can alleviate the trauma caused by homelessness to nearly 200 children?
Did you know $25,000 can provide trauma informed case management to one family for a year?
Did you know $10,000 can provide temporary shelter for up to six months for a family?
Did you know $5,000 can provide workforce development training and stable jobs to parents?
And for over 35 years, YOU — our Hamilton Heroes — have been our strongest champions, supporting, donating, fundraising, and advocating for families in our community. But despite our best and most heroic efforts, safe and stable housing is still out of reach for many low-income, and Black and Latinx families in the San Francisco Bay Area.
At Hamilton Families, for the second year in a row, we have served over 800 families — a 200 percent increase in the number of families we served less than a decade ago. Emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, and workforce development all remain critical pieces of the social safety net we provide.
This work is made possible by YOU! You’ve helped us create a ripple effect that we hope will extend beyond San Francisco, and into the greater Bay Area as we share our efforts to help low-income families stabilize and thrive.
Help us ensure families in our community stay stably housed and make sure we continue to help hundreds of families into permanent housing in the coming year.
Homelessness is top of mind for SoMa Equity Partners. Living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area, their firm is uniquely positioned to invest in ending family homelessness in their community. As a community partner of Hamilton Families, SoMa Equity Partners stepped up when we needed them most. As major donors, their team is engaged with all our activities, including volunteering at our shelter and organizing a laptop and donation drive to support virtual schooling and remote work for families during the pandemic.
SoMa Equity Partners’ investment expertise, along with their reverence for issues surrounding homelessness, contributes to the strength of the Hamilton Families partnership community and its family-centered approach to ending family homelessness.
The magic of Hamilton Families and the work we do is born out of people coming together, gathering in-person, and celebrating in real-time. Our event plan was created with the health and safety of our employees, production staff, participants, and audience members at the forefront of all our decision-making. All attendees must be fully vaccinated and strongly encourage the following of all guests and staff visiting the Hamilton Families Annual Benefit on October 6, 2022, at The Pearl:
Avoid crowds and large gatherings the week prior to the event
Take an at-home antigen test the day of the event (tests will be available at registration, upon request)
Stay at home if you test positive for COVID-19, have COVID-like symptoms, or have recently been exposed.
The event will be both indoor and outdoor, face masks are optional and will be provided upon request. Hamilton Families will notify any guests potentially exposed to the best of its ability. Find more information about our COVID-19 event policies.

#Myth. People who experience homelessness are adults without children. #Fact. Families make up 30% of the homeless population in the U.S.—including more than 1.5 million children. #EndFamilyHomelessness with @HamFamSF at the #HFBenefit22 on Oct. 6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit

#Fact. Children who experience long-term #homelessness are 5x more likely to become homeless as adults, and less than ½ of all homeless students are at grade level proficiency in writing and math. Join me and @HamFamSF at the #HFBenefit22 on Oct. 6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit

The #Problem. Family homelessness is invisible since most families do not sleep on the streets—75% are doubled up, 15% are in temporary shelter, 7% in motels. Only 4% are unsheltered. #EndFamilyHomelessness with @HamFamSF at #HFBenefit22 on Oct. 6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit

We all deserve a decent place to live. That’s a matter of basic justice, of who we are as a community. I know that housing is essential, just like food, healthcare, and an education. Join me & @HamFamSF at the #HFBenefit22 on Oct. 6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit

Our whole community does better when everyone has good, safe housing options. We ALL benefit from housing justice and it’s up to ALL of us to fight for it. Like if you agree that we need to #EndFamilyHomelessness and come to the #HFBenefit22 on 10/6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit

The diversity of our neighborhoods is what makes the Bay Area like nowhere else in our nation. Protecting that unique legacy and building the future our children deserve means strengthening our communities. Join me at #HFBenefit22 on Oct. 6: hamiltonfamilies.org/benefit
