On Thursday, July 30 at 7:00 PM PT, Hamilton Families will celebrate its Annual Benefit, summer block party style! And the celebration is going virtual so you can join us from the comfort of your own home!
To honor the investment made by countless stakeholders over the past 35 years, we will be holding a virtual Summer block party to elevate our work toward ending family homelessness and to celebrate the impact that Hamilton Families has had in our community.
This won’t be your average Summer block party, with special guest performances from:
Alphabet Rockers—Led by Kaitlin McGaw (she/her) and Tommy Shepherd (he/him/they), Oakland-based Alphabet Rockers gets young people to talk about self-love and justice while living it.
Isaiah Johnson—who starred as George Washington in the third national tour of Hamilton at San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre.
San Francisco’s own Bisi—the globetrotting and exploring performer born and raised in Lago, Nigeria who is using his music as the intersection for compassion, equity and unconditional love.
Quinn DeVeaux—the originator of blue beat soul, Quinn draws his roots from his church choir in Gary, Indiana, creating an uplifting, rapturous, and healing experience with his songwriting.
Jacqueline Sanders and Robin Hodge Williams—Hamilton Families' very own power duet.
And let’s not forget the musical stylings of our honoree and The Hamlin School’s own Head of School, Wanda M. Holland Greene.
Our Honorees: The Hamlin School and Wanda M. Holland Greene
The Hamlin School educates girls to meet the challenges of their time and inspires them to become extraordinary thinkers and innovators, courageous leaders, and women of integrity. Wanda M. Holland Greene has been the Head of School for 12 years and her leadership in the communities is far reaching.
Over the past 20 years the children, parents and administration of Hamlin have been critical and dynamic partners to Hamilton Families; donating books and holiday gifts to families in our programs, cooking and providing meals at our residential programs, creating community and education events, and donating to support our services and mission to end family homelessness in the SF Bay Area.
